Alleged bribe turns ticket into felony

NEW YORK, April 24 (UPI) -- A New York City man who faced a ticket for running a red light ended up charged with four felony counts of bribery.

The New York Post reported that Holiam Clement Ho was pulled over for running a red light in Manhattan late Saturday.

Ho allegedly offered the police officer who made the stop $100. The officer, realizing he would need witnesses, told Ho that two of his friends had to be cut in on the bribe. Ho allegedly gave each of the three $100.

The fourth count came after Ho had been taken to a police station where he allegedly tried to bribe an inspector $100.
