MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- A man raised $1,215 during the weekend after dancing 100 hours in a Canadian dance marathon to raise money for children devastated by the tsunami.

"It's a small amount of money," said Suresh Joachim, who had hoped to raise $8,000. "But every dollar helps."

Joachim has set earlier records for balancing on one foot for more than 76 hours, traveling up and down an escalator for seven days, and performing 84 hours of continuous drumming.

The Sunday cand marathon marked his 29th world record, the Toronto Sun reported Monday.

Guinness World Records set strict rules for Joachim, forbidding him to pause for longer then 30 seconds between tunes.

During the five-day event at the Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga, Ontario, Joachim consumed only small portions of soup and water.

Joachim is planning a world peace marathon, traveling through 88 major cities in 54 countries -- passing a symbolic peace torch to dignitaries in each city.
