WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Police in Winnipeg, Manitoba, have charged a 33-year-old man with secretly videotaping up women's skirts at shopping malls.

Investigators say the man approached women in skirts or dresses and set down his knapsack beside them. The pack contained a tiny surveillance video device widely available for as little as $1,000, the Winnipeg Sun said Thursday.

The man's name was not disclosed.

It's believed none of the females knew they were being filmed because no complaints were reported.

Web sites devoted to filming up women's skirts are plentiful on the Internet. A search on Google yields more than 8 million hits, the newspaper said.

Officers with the Integrated Child Exploitation unit found the video images last July while they were examining the suspect's computer in an unrelated child pornography case.
