Three's company, five's a surprise

DENVER, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- A Denver area couple was still reeling Thursday from a most surprising birthday party for their twins: Mom gave birth to a new set of twins.

The Denver Post said Matthew and Rebecca King's eighth birthday party was about to start Tuesday when their pregnant mother, Pam, received a telephone call from her physician. He said he'd received medical test results and she needed to have an emergency Caesarean section -- exactly what happened when Matthew and Rebecca were born.

So later that day, the twins and the King's oldest son, Alex, 9, got a gift: another set of twins, born on the same day as their older twin siblings, delivered by the same doctor, in the same hospital.

Pam and her new twins will be released from the hospital within a few days.

For the older twins, the thought of having another set of twins around is exciting. But the Post said older brother Alex was heard to mutter: "More kids, lots more commotion."
