Parents of 'nameless' children face fines
Monday, December 1
John Rossi died Monday night of gunshot wounds to the chest and head but left a note that police said ruled out any criminal activity.
Rossi, 56, was an owner of Lowen's Pharmacy, a Brooklyn store that was raided twice in recent months by agents who seized millions of dollars worth of steroids, The New York Times (NYSE:NYT) reported Tuesday.
The newspaper said Lowen's was targeted by a multi-agency investigation into alleged major transactions involving steroids and human growth hormone. Some of the product was allegedly sold to New York City police officers.
Rossi was never charged in the case, which was continuing.
