NFL: Kansas City 56, Atlanta 10

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Priest Holmes and Derrick Blaylock each had four touchdowns Sunday as Kansas City scored an NFL-record eight rushing TDs in a 56-10 win over Atlanta.

Holmes, who left with a sprained ankle early in the third quarter, gained 139 yards for the Chiefs (2-4), who scored 35 consecutive points in the first half.

Blaylock finished with 90 rushing yards for Kansas City, which fell three points short of tying the franchise record for most points in a game. Trent Green completed 20-of-27 passes for 269 yards.

Allen Rossum returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown for the Falcons (5-2), who have lost two of their last three. Michael Vick completed 7-of-21 passes for 119 yards and was intercepted twice. Vick also ran for 62 yards.

Atlanta's defense, which entered the game as the NFL's best against the run, gave up 271 yards on the ground and 540 total.
