Under the Commercial Enterprise Omnibus Support Services MCEITS contract, QinetiQ North America will provide support for the Marine Corps Systems Command Information Systems and Infrastructure Product Group, Computing Platforms and Services. Officials say the two-year contract has options that if exercised would be worth more than $9 million.
The MCEITS program, within the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Command and Control framework, provides access to enterprise information and facilitates across the Marine Corps' information technology infrastructure. Company officials say the new contract expands on a previous deal with the Marine Corps and will implement new IT applications and services among other technologies.
"We're delighted to continue our support of the Marine Corps," Anthony Cordaro, QinetiQ North America MCEITS program manager, said in a statement. "Our previous task order was re-competed early because it broke the scope-growth threshold. We think that's a testimony to the solid work our people have been doing for the Corps. We'll now be providing program management, acquisition and logistics support in addition to the engineering services we've been delivering for more than two years."
