McLaughlin and his wife married in 2004 and are already parents to son Logan and daughters Rowen and Reagan. The actor plays Ryan Booth, an FBI agent and love interest of Alex, on Quantico, which airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.

"Honestly, even in life, relationships are so complicated," Chopra said of the characters' dynamic in an interview with Hollywood Life in January. "Ryan and Alex, because they work together ... it sort of becomes complicated."

"Both of them love their jobs. The choice has always been how do you stay in a realtionshipw with someone when you have to keep secrets from them all the time? That's what's hard for them. It's not that they don't love each other," she added.

McLaughlin is a former U.S. Army soldier also known for playing Tate on the NBC series Believe. He has also appeared on such shows as Criminal Minds, NCIS: Los Angeles, Grey's Anatomy and The Mentalist.
