HBO releases trailer for new season of 'Sesame Street'

NEW YORK, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Jon Hamm, Pharrell Williams, Tina Fey, Usher, Gwen Stefani and Tracee Ellis Ross appear in a trailer for the new season of Sesame Street.

Iconic Muppets such as Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Elmo and The Count are also featured in the minute-long clip, which debuted on YouTube Thursday.

The pre-school show is moving to HBO from PBS where it premiered in 1969 and had aired since.

Season 46 is to begin on the pay-cable network Jan. 16. The episodes will eventually appear as re-runs on PBS.
