Kim Fields debuts in 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' season 8 trailer

"Looking forward to a great season," the actress said.

ATLANTA, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Former child star Kim Fields is confirmed for The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 8.

The 46-year-old actress will appear as a series regular on the Bravo show alongside Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams. Real Housewives released a trailer for the forthcoming season featuring Fields on Monday.

"So excited to announce I'll be appearing on season 8 of #RHOA looking forward to a great season!" the star wrote on Twitter. Season 8 will premiere Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.

Former main cast member Sheree Whitfield will return as a friend of the housewives, along with former guest Shamea Morton. Whitfield starred on seasons 1 through 4, while Morton appeared on season 5. NeNe Leakes and Claudia Jordan will not be returning.

Fields is known for playing Dororthy "Tootie" Ramsey on the NBC sitcom Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life, and went on to portray Regine Hunter on Fox series Living Single. She last appeared in the Hallmark Channel movie For Better or for Worse in 2014.
