LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Brandi Glanville compared The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to an abusive boyfriend in an interview Monday.
The 42-year-old reality star discussed her departure from the Bravo show on the Housewives Happy Hour web series by ETonline. Glanville had confirmed in June she won't appear on Season 6, but revealed in the new interview it wasn't her choice to leave.
"[Bravo] said, 'We'll have you back part time,' and that was it," she said. "That said, I haven't filmed yet ... Honestly, I'm happier. I feel like I broke up with an abusive boyfriend. Like, 'Oh my God, I love you, but you're horrible for me.'"
Glanville first appeared in Season 2, and was made a series regular in Season 3. She was often portrayed as the show's villain due to her numerous conflicts with her co-stars, who she claims are in it for the fame, not the money.
"They're all rich already," she explained. "The only thing that you can't buy is fame ... [The network] said to me, 'We think if you sign up [again], you'll just be doing it for the money.' And that's the only reason I ever did it, was for the money!"
Glanville will continue to air her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast and oversee her Unfiltered Blonde wine business. The reality star is also mother to two sons, 12-year-old Mason and 8-year-old Jake, with ex-husband and singer Eddie Cibrian.
