Glenn Danzig to appear on 'Portlandia' season 6

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Misfits founder Glenn Danzig will appear on Portlandia season 6.

Actress Carrie Brownstein revealed the news by sharing a photo of herself with the 60-year-old singer and co-star Fred Armisen on Instagram, writing, "Summer Goths. With Danzig. Dreams (nightmares?) do come true. #Portlandia."

Portlandia premiered on IFC in 2011, and will return for its sixth season in 2016. The satirical sketch comedy series is set and filmed in Portland, Ore., and pokes fun at the city's more stereotypical residents, including feminist bookstore owners and overly-concerned diners.

Danzig came to fame with the Misfits in the 1970s, and went on to found Samhain and Danzig after the group disbanded. He also released two solo albums, Black Aria (1992) and Black Aria II (2006), and last debuted Deth Red Sabaoth with Danzig in June 2010.
