Chris Cornell joins Zac Brown Band during 'SNL' performance

The act included two new and very different songs that will be featured on the band's upcoming fourth studio album, Jekyll + Hyde.

NEW YORK, March 9 (UPI) -- The Zac Brown Band surprised fans Saturday after being joined by Soundgarden's Chris Cornell during one of their Saturday Night Live performances.

The band was the musical guest during the show's March 7 episode, which featured Chris Hemsworth as host. The act included two new, and very different songs that will be featured on their upcoming fourth studio album, Jekyll + Hyde: "Homegrown" and "Heavy Is the Head," Cornell appeared onstage with the band for the second, and the song.

Jekyll + Hyde will be released on April 28. Zac Brown Band will kick off its North American tour to promote the new album on May 1.
