The character began the Fox series as a high school jock and bully who especially targets gay classmate Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer). He is eventually revealed to be gay himself, and attempts suicide after being publicly outed at school. The character is rumored to become romantically involved with Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss), Kurt's boyfriend, in the new season.

The final season of Glee premieres August 23 on Fox. Adler currently stars as Miles "Tank" Conroy on ABC Family series Switched at Birth, and is scheduled for Believe Me, 23 Blast and Saugatuck Cures later this year.
