NEW YORK, May 13 (UPI) -- Actor Alec Baldwin was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly riding his bicycle the wrong way down a one-way street, then verbally abusing two female officers who stopped him.

The former 30 Rock star, 56, was handcuffed and brought to Manhattan's 13th Precinct station house after he failed to present the policewomen with his identification. A warrant check was conducted and a summons issued.

"Alec was riding his bicycle the wrong way on Fifth Avenue this morning and, when he was stopped by police, he didn't have ID, so he was handcuffed and arrested. It is not known where he is now or if he is still in police custody," a source told the New York Post.

InTouch Weekly published a photo of the incident, showing a handcuffed Baldwin being helped into a police cruiser.

Baldwin's publicist has not yet addressed the incident.

This is not the first time Baldwin's hot temper has gotten him in trouble. The Emmy Award-winning actor was fired from his MSNBC talk show last year, reportedly as the result of behavior issues in the studio, including his attitude toward co-workers, as well as for a high-profile incident in which he hurled a gay slur at a photographer he said was harassing him on a Manhattan street.
