Mark Wahlberg is producing a pilot about MIT students for A&E

Wahlberg's TV producing credits include "Entourage," "Boardwalk Empire" and "Wahlburgers."

BOSTON , May 9 (UPI) -- A&E says it has ordered a half-hour pilot for a new reality series executive produced by Mark Wahlberg.

Called Big Brew Theory, the show is about four "quirky and highly intelligent" Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate students, who pool their life savings to achieve their dream of creating a home-grown micro-brewery, then team up with a beautiful MIT undergrad to launch their business, a synopsis said.

Wahlberg, 42, is a Boston native. His small-screen producing credits include the comedy Entourage, the drama Boardwalk Empire, and the reality shows Breaking Boston and Wahlburgers.
