'X Factor' Season 3 winners are Alex and Sierra

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- First prize in Season 3 of "The X Factor" in Los Angeles went to the singing duo of Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton.

They earned a $1 million recording contract for their efforts.

Jeff Gutt came in second place in the competition Thursday night.

Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio were the show's judges this season. Mario Lopez served as host.
