Kim Kardashian calls Couric a 'fake media friend'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- U.S. reality TV star Kim Kardashian posted on Instagram a photo of Katie Couric's gift for her newborn daughter with the caption, "#IHateFakeMediaFriends."

Kardashian and her beau, rapper Kanye West, welcomed their first child, North West, in June.

Kardashian posted online Friday the photo of an adorable infant outfit, along with a card saying: "Dear Kim and Kanye, Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! ... And may I humbly suggest you continue the K tradition." The note is signed Katie Couric.

Kardashian's post Friday was under the heading

"#IHateFakeMediaFriends."

It also said, "MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalk[expletive]."

UsMagazine.com said Kardashian may be upset because Couric was recently quoted as saying she didn't understand why the Kardashian family is famous.
