HOLLYWOOD, July 28 (UPI) -- NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt said the network is developing four new miniseries, including a 4-hour one on former U.S. first lady Hillary Clinton.

Greenblatt announced the network's big push into airing miniseries Saturday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour in Beverly Hills and said in addition to a previously announced 6-hour series about Cleopatra, the network will also produced a miniseries on Clinton, a remake of "Rosemary's Baby," a new take on Stephen King's "Tommyknockers" and a series whose working title is "Plymouth," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Diane Lane will star in the title role in the Hillary biopic and Greenblatt said casting has not yet begun for an actor to play Bill Clinton.

Greenblatt said the miniseries probably will air before the former U.S. secretary of state U.S. senator from New York might announce her candidacy for the 2016 Democratic presidential -- thus precluding any issues of offering equal time to political rivals.

"She's not going to declare her candidacy for two more years, so I think it will be the late spring or early summer of '15 that she will declare," Greenblatt said.

"Hillary," to be written and directed by Courtney Hunt, will portray Clinton's personal and political life from 1998, and will cover her likely candidacy for president, the Reporter said.
