'Vampire Diaries' actor Roerig seeks sole custody of daughter

ATLANTA, July 8 (UPI) -- Actor Zach Roerig is seeking sole custody of his 2-year-old daughter while her mother is in prison, court documents filed in Georgia show.

Roerig, 28, said his ex-girlfriend Alanna Turner has been arrested at least three times and is incarcerated now after pleading guilty in federal court to "various crimes," TMZ quoted the legal papers as saying.

The actor also has requested that Turner pay child support, the celebrity news website reported.

Roerig plays Matt Donovan on the drama series "The Vampire Diaries."
