SEATTLE, May 24 (UPI) -- Actor Morgan Freeman says he had a very good reason for appearing to sleep during a morning television interview with a Fox affiliate in Seattle this week.

"I wasn't actually sleeping," Freeman jokingly told People.com Thursday. "I'm a beta tester for Google Eyelids. I was merely updating my Facebook page."

Freeman, 75, and his 80-year-old co-star Michael Caine were promoting their new film "Now You See Me" when Freeman closed his eyes and bobbed his head while Caine was talking about midway through the on-air chat.
