LOS ANGELES, April 22 (UPI) -- There will be separate lead and supporting actor categories for miniseries and TV movies for Hollywood's Emmy Awards this year, organizers announced.
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced last week it had reversed its March 2012 decision to merge the nominees, meaning lead and supporting stars of TV movies and miniseries would have again competed in two categories -- Best Actor and Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries -- instead of four categories -- Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries -- like nominees did before last year.
