Comic actress Dawn French marries charity worker Mark Bignell

LONDON, April 22 (UPI) -- British writer, comedian and actress Dawn French has married charity worker Mark Bignell at the Scarlet hotel near Newquay in Cornwall, the BBC reported.

The couple met in 2011 and tied the knot this past weekend.

French, 55, divorced comedian Lenny Henry in 2010 after 26 years of marriage.

French is one-half the comedy duo French and Saunders, alongside Jennifer Saunders. She also was the star of "The Vicar of Dibley" and "Larkrise to Candleford," and will soon be seen in James Corden's new television comedy thriller "The Wrong Mans."
