'Billy the Exterminator' star pleads guilty to drug possession

BENTON, La., April 22 (UPI) -- William Bretherton, star of the U.S. reality TV series "Billy the Exterminator," has pleaded guilty to drug possession, court records show.

Bretherton was arrested a year ago after police allegedly caught him with synthetic marijuana and a smoking device.

He pleaded guilty Friday to drug possession and was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but he will not have to spend time behind bars if he pays a $500 fine, completes four 8-hour days of community service, undergoes substance-abuse evaluations and stays away from drugs and alcohol, TMZ reported.
