LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Ben Savage is in early talks to reprise his role of Cory Matthews in a new follow-up to his 1990s U.S. sitcom "Boy Meets World," TVLine reported.

The television news website said the Disney Channel is developing a show called "Girl Meets World," which would follow the adventures of Matthews' pre-teen daughter.

TVLine said actress Danielle Fishel could also return as Matthews' wife and former childhood sweetheart, Topanga.

"Boy Meets World" ran on ABC from 1993 to 2000.
