HOLLYWOOD, June 30 (UPI) -- After strong ratings for its television premiere, Western drama "Longmire" has been renewed for a second season, cable network A&E has confirmed.

The Wyoming-set drama, starring Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff, raked in 4.1 million viewers for its premiere, making it the most-watched scripted A&E series debut ever and the highest-rated new cable scripted hourlong drama for the year in the 25 to 54 age range, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

The most recent episode drew 3.8 million viewers.

"Longmire" was one of three series studio Warner Horizon Television renewed Friday, including TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Dallas," THR reported.
