NEW YORK, March 19 (UPI) -- Pregnant "Jersey Shore" cast member Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will appear in the upcoming sixth season of the reality show, MTV announced Monday. Polizzi, 24, is known for her hard-partying ways. She is engaged to Jionni LaValle, her boyfriend of more than a year, and confirmed last week she is pregnant with their first child.

"While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same," MTV said in a statement announcing the show's renewal.
Other members of the show's ensemble who will return include Jennifer "JWoww" Farley, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Samantha "Sweetheart" Giancola.
