Cross-country drive on 2 gallons of gas


LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Recording artist Demi Lovato has been booked to perform on the 2012 edition of the People's Choice Awards show in Los Angeles, producers said.
"Demi is a brilliant performer, a strong role model and a true fan favorite," Executive Producer Mark Burnett said in a statement Monday. "We're thrilled to have her on board for the People's Choice Awards and look forward to a truly electrifying performance."
The fan-voted prizes in movies, music and television are to be handed out at the Nokia Theatre Jan. 11. The show is to air on CBS.
