NEW YORK, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Actors are flocking to do guest spots on "NCIS," the U.S. TV show's executive producer Gary Glasberg said.

"With the success of the show, there are people we didn't think we could get who turn out to be tremendous fans. It's a very comfortable place to work. Word has gotten out that that's the case," he said.

The show has already featured Oscar-nominated Shohreh Aghdashloo, along with Lily Tomlin, Bob Newhart, Charlie Durning, Gena Rowlands, Hal Holbrook and Cheryl Ladd, the New York Post reported Sunday.

Glasberg said "NCIS" star Michael Weatherly was even approached recently by comedian and actress Sara Silverman.

"She ran up to him in the aisle and told how much she loved the show. We would love to have her join us at some point," Glasberg said.

He said Jamie Lee Curtis will be featured on the television show in February as a possible love interested for Mark Harmon's character.

"I think there are going to be some sparks," Glasberg said. "It's been a few seasons since Gibbs has even had even a relationship. We thought it was time to revisit."
