Canalis appears naked in PETA campaign

ROME, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- George Clooney's ex-girlfriend, Italian actress and model Elisabetta Canalis, appears naked in a new anti-fur ad campaign.

Canalis, 33, also is a contestant on this season of "Dancing with the Stars." She and Clooney broke up recently after two years of dating.

''I think this is the best reason why I got naked in my life,'' ANSA quoted Canalis as saying in May after she shot photos for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' "I'd-rather-go-naked-than-wear-fur" campaign.

"[When] I was a kid I was watching TV at home and they showed a documentary. In the documentary, I saw how they killed little animals, electrocuting them, drowning them, bludgeoning them. I was shocked because I was a little girl, but at that moment I thought that I would never, never, never, wear fur in my life," Canalis said.
