No Season 3 for 'Men of a Certain Age'

LOS ANGELES, July 15 (UPI) -- TNT says it has not renewed its Los Angeles-set dramedy series "Men of a Certain Age" for a third season.

The critically acclaimed but ratings-challenged show stars Ray Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula as longtime best friends dealing with various midlife crises.

"TNT has been proud to be a part of 'Men of a Certain Age' for two seasons," a TNT representative said in a statement issued Friday to The Hollywood Reporter. "While the show has featured great storytelling and impeccable performances, the audience simply hasn't built to the point where we can continue the series.

This was an extremely difficult decision for us. We wish Ray Romano, [co-creator/showrunner] Mike Royce and the terrific cast and crew of 'Men of a Certain Age' the very best and look forward to exploring new programming possibilities in the future."

Braugher was nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Emmy Award Thursday.
