LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- AMC says it will not be renewing its original U.S. drama series, "Rubicon," for a second season.

Starring James Badge Dale, Jessica Collins, Miranda Richardson, Dallas Roberts, Christopher Evan Welch, Michael Cristofer and Peter Gerety, "Rubicon" premiered on the cable television network Aug. 1, 2010. It was produced by Warner Horizon Television.

"'Rubicon' gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story, and we're proud of the series. This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team," the network said in a statement Thursday.
