Schiff cast in 'Criminal Minds' spinoff

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Richard Schiff has landed a recurring role on TV's "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior," a CBS representative told TVGuide.com.

Schiff, who is best known for his work on "The West Wing," is to play FBI director Jack Fickler and will appear in the spin-off's premiere episode, Entertainment Weekly said.

Starring Forest Whitaker, Janeane Garofalo and Kirsten Vangsness, the show is to premiere at mid-season.
