LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- All charges against actress Mackenzie Phillips stemming from her 2008 drug bust at Los Angeles International Airport have been dropped, officials said.

During a court hearing Friday, Phillips thanked police for arresting her and helping her change her life, E! Online reported.

Phillips had pleaded guilty to felony cocaine possession, but was told at the time the charges would be dismissed if she went through 18 months of successful drug rehab.

The "One Day at a Time" star addressed the court, saying: "Your Honor, I would just like to take this incredible opportunity to thank you, thank the court, for giving me this chance ... I've taken it and I've run with it fast and hard, and although it's been a difficult last year and a half in many aspects, it has in fact been the most rewarding time in my life."

Phillips also thanked the officers who arrested her, saying "it really, it just changed my life."

"I hope to take these experiences with me and help other people, and I just thank the court," E! quoted her as saying.
