NEW YORK, April 28 (UPI) -- U.S. comedian Conan O'Brien is to be interviewed for Sunday's edition of "60 Minutes," the CBS News program's Web site said.

The chat with correspondent Steve Kroft will be O'Brien's first television interview since he was ousted from NBC's "The Tonight Show" in January after eight months as host.

O'Brien announced earlier this month that he had signed on as star of a new late-night talk show to begin next fall on the cable network TBS.
