LOS ANGELES, April 5 (UPI) -- TV Land says it plans to honor Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari at the upcoming 8th annual TV Land Awards show in Culver City, Calif.

Hanks and Scolari will be presented with the Anniversray Award for their work on the 1980s sitcom "Bosom Buddies," the network said.

With Tim Allen serving as host, this year's ceremony is to be taped April 17 on Stage 15 on the Sony Lot.

It is to air on TV Land April 25.

"Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari will reunite to accept the Anniversary Award for the 30th anniversary of the comedy, 'Bosom Buddies,' along with fellow cast members Donna Dixon, Thelma Hopkins and Holland Taylor, marking the first time that the cast has been together publicly since the show went off the air," TV Land said in a news release Monday. "The series helped to launch the acting careers of the two up-and-coming actors in 1980."

The ABC sitcom followed straight bachelors Kip and Henry as they donned wigs and heels, and moved into a hotel for women after their apartment was condemned.
