Bodybuilder Turchinsky dead at 46

MOSCOW, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Russian bodybuilder, television personality and actor Vladimir Turchinsky has died of a heart attack at the age of 46, his family said Thursday.

Russian media reported steroids may have played a role in the death of the head of the Russian Federation of Extreme Sports.

However, RIA Novosti reported the reasons why he died were still under investigation.

Turchinsky reportedly set several Guinness records. Among his achievements were moving a Ruslan plane, lifting an elephant and dragging a double-decker bus with one hand, RIA Novosti said.

The married father of two is expected to be buried in Moscow Friday.
