CHICAGO, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Actor Martin Short said there was "joy" when the original cast members from "Second City Television" reunited in Chicago

The Chicago Tribune said Saturday that in addition to Short, Friday's "Second City" reunion was attended by original cast members Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas and Harold Ramis.

"We're under-rehearsed," said Short, who joined the sketch comedy series during its fourth season. "But the joy is there."

The reunited cast from "Second City," which was canceled 25 years ago, performed twice Friday night, offering those in attendance re-enactments of former sketches and popular characters.

"Second City Television," also known as "SCTV," first aired in 1976 and included members of The Second City comedy troupe that originated in Chicago and later expanded to Toronto.

The Tribune said Friday's reunion was the second time the show's cast got back together. Previously, "SCTV" cast members reunited in Toronto in 2008.
