CW orders more 'Diaries,' 'Melrose'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. television network The CW says it has ordered full seasons of its new programs "The Vampire Diaries" and "Melrose Place."

TVGuide.com said the network plans to air 22 episodes of "Diaries" this season and 18 installments of "Melrose," a remake of the iconic 1990s nighttime soap opera.

Both programs debuted last month.
