Bruno Mars confirms Super Bowl 50 halftime show appearance

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Recording artist Bruno Mars has announced via social media he will take the stage during Sunday's Super Bowl 50 halftime show.

"It ain't a party if Mr $how Up & $how out doesn't show up. #Confirmed #SB50 #Halftime #Coldplay," Mars tweeted Friday.

Seal and Simon Hunt are to perform during a pre-game tailgate party, while Lady Gaga is to sing the National Anthem to kick off the championship football game between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos. Coldplay is booked as the headliner for the halftime show.
