LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Singer and harpist Joanna Newsom released new single "Leaving the City" on Sunday.

The 33-year-old vocalist shared the song on YouTube following her appearance at the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards. Newsom attended the annual awards ceremony with husband and actor Andy Samberg, who hosted the event.

"Leaving the City" is the second single to debut from the singer's forthcoming album, Divers. The record is her first since 2010's Have One On Me, and will be released Oct. 23. Newsom previously debuted the song "Sapokanikan" in August.

"[I] spent a year or two on the instrumental arrangements and overdubs," she told Entertainment Weekly this month. "I wanted the character and colors of the instrumentation to shift definitively from song to song, which entailed a wide pool of collaborators and a lengthy collaborative process with each person."

Newsom and Samberg have been together since 2007, and celebrated their second wedding anniversary Monday. The vocalist has released three studio albums thus far, while Samberg, 37, is known for his work with SNL and playing Jake Peralta on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
