LONDON, June 28 (UPI) -- Simon Brodkin, a comedian known as Lee Nelson, crashed Kanye West's performance at the Glastonbury festival in England this weekend.

The BBC said Nelson jumped on stage Saturday night as the American rapper was performing his hit "Black Skinhead," but was quickly escorted out by security.

Nelson later declared he was avenging the honor of pop-music star Taylor Swift, whom West famously interrupted during the 2009 MTV VMAs show to declare his friend Beyonce should have won the prize Swift was holding.

"I Kanye'd Kanye. That was for you @taylorswift13 #Leezus," Nelson tweeted.
