Katy Perry, One Direction win big at the MTV European Music Awards

GLASGOW, Scotland, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Katy Perry, One Direction, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer were the big winners at the MTV European Music Awards show in Glasgow Sunday.

Perry scored the prizes for Best Look and Best Video for "Dark Horse" featuring Juicy J.

One Direction earned the accolades for Best Live Act, Best Pop Act and Biggest Fans, and Grande took home the trophies for Best Female Artist and Best Song for "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea.

The Best Male Artist title was bestowed upon Justin Bieber, while Bibi Zhou was declared Best Worldwide Act.

5 Seconds of Summer garnered the prizes for Best New and Best Push, and Linkin Park was given the distinction of Best Rock Act. Nicki Minaj scooped up the trophy for Best Hip Hop Act and Afrojack the award for Best Electronic Act.

Also honored were Enrique Iglesias who scored the Best World Stage prize and Ozzy Osbourne who received the Global Icon statuette.
