Nicki Minaj announces fall release date for new album 'The Pink Print'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Nicki Minaj announced in a tweet Monday her upcoming album The Pink Print would be released on November 24.

The announcement follows months of teasing and speculation over the rapper's upcoming album. Minaj, 31, told MTV in a recent interview the record is an interpretation and homage to Jay Z's 2001 LP, The Blueprint.

Thus far, the rapper has released two singles from the album: "Anaconda" and "Pills and Potions." She performed the former as the opening act of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

The Pink Print follows Minaj's 2012 effort Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and her first album Pink Friday, which was released in 2010.
