NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- 50 Cent says he was not invited to his son Marquise Jackson's graduation ceremony.

Jackson, who graduated from a private high school in Atlanta over the weekend, wrote a post on his Facebook Saturday that claims his father did not show up. The post features a picture of the young man and his mother in an emotional embrace, and reads:

"Yea I broke down, I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn't. I did it without you!"

Blogger Eleven8 reports that Jackson may not have written the post himself. His Facebook has over 5,000 friends and 240,000 followers, but his sister Mia has reportedly said the page is a fake profile.

"The page has been there for years," Mia says. "We tried to get it deleted. Whoever runs that page has a lot of time on his hands because they create pages of our mother and I and have them correspond with one another as if it's us, but it's not."

50 Cent addressed the situation Monday when he stopped by BET's Park & 106.

"I don't need an explanation," the rapper says of his absence. "I don't really. I think that my personal life, portions of it are supposed to actually be personal."

"My son -- I hadn't received an invitation," he continues. "When he graduated I was in Budapest on a movie with Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham."

The musician did not clarify if Jackson had written the post, but did say, "I think at some points the reason why [information] actually comes out is because his mom is going to TMZ. I wish she'd find someone so she could leave me alone."
