Christina Aguilera engaged to Matthew Rutler

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. singer Christina Aguilera announced her engagement to film producer Matthew Rutler.

The 33-year-old announced her engagement on Twitter Friday, TMZ reported.

"He asked and I said......," she wrote along with a photo of her and Rutler holding hands showing off her new engagement ring.

The two have been dating since the end of 2010, People magazine reported. They met on the set of the 2010 film "Burlesque," where he worked as a production assistant.
