LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) -- Former Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland married photographer Jamie Wachtel at their Los Angeles home, the bride announced.
The couple married Saturday night after a year and a half of dating, People magazine reported.
"We had the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony," Wachtel said. "We all cried and laughed. Scott and I are over the moon!"
Wachtel wore a vintage dress from Paper Bag Princess in Beverly Hills, and their rings were made by Pade Vavra, People reported.
Weiland, 45, and Wachtel, 35, met in late 2011 while the rocker was shooting music videos for his Christmas album.
Wachtel was at the filming to shoot stills.
Weiland, in an interview with Rolling Stone in November, said his now-wife told him "to tuck in your belly a little bit."
"It was around the holidays -- it was after Thanksgiving, and you know how that tends to be. I was kind of caught off guard, and I started laughing and she started laughing. And I don't know ... something magical happened," he added.
