NEW YORK, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- American rock band Van Halen has announced plans for a 2012 concert tour featuring its original lead singer, David Lee Roth.

Although no dates have been set yet, tickets for the first run of shows are to go on sale Jan. 10.

Rolling Stone magazine said the group is also expected to release its first new album with Roth since 1984 next year.

The Roth-led band most recently performed a string of concerts in 2007-08.
