CHICAGO, July 8 (UPI) -- Pop star Katy Perry has canceled her planned weekend concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis because she is suffering from food poisoning and dehydration.

WLS-TV, Chicago, confirmed the cancellations with the shows' promoter, Jam Productions.

The concerts have been postponed to Aug. 21 in Chicago and Aug. 23 in St. Paul, Minn., the TV station said.
