NEW YORK, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Supermodel Christie Brinkley says her ex-husband, rock 'n' roll icon Billy Joel, plans to come see her when she appears in the Broadway musical "Chicago."

Brinkley, who was married to Joel from 1985 to 1994, is to make her debut on the Great White Way this April in the role of Roxie Hart.

"I just got an e-mail from Billy last night saying: 'Congratulations, you are going to be great. I'm coming to the show,'" the 57-year-old model told TV's "Access Hollywood" Wednesday.

Asked if she is nervous about performing in front of Joel and their musician daughter, Alexa, Brinkley replied:

"Are you kidding? Billy and I would be cooking in the kitchen doing Broadway shows all the time, singing and dancing. And Alexa and I have picked right up, and the two of us sing and dance. No, we're constantly singing. It's truly a musical in our house."
